Welcome to the May 2012 homepage edition of i2P-Information to Pharmacists. Rollo Manning has been having some time out having staples removed from the site of his open heart surgery. He is now at home recuperating in Darwin, having arrived home last Friday, beating a cold and hasty retreat from Canberra. We all wish him a speedy recovery and hopefully, he will be fit enough to contribute by next month.

Sigma has just released its long-awaited accounts disclosing a $389 million loss and a reduction in forecasted cash flows.
Despite the poor performance, Sigma claims its underlying business is sound and states that it has renegotiated its lines of finance.
The company has vowed to increase sales, cash flow and profitability, reduce extended terms of credit to some clients, reduce debt and improve inventory levels also selling non-core assets.
Most of Sigma’s client pharmacy accounts have been extremely loyal in past years, so it will be interesting to see whether that situation will remain firm.
For the moment its seems, CEO Elmo de Alwis will retain his job.
