Welcome to the first homepage edition of i2P for 2012.
In many ways it has been a slow start to the New Year because of having to deal with the “leftovers” from 2011.
One of those items for i2P was that a third-party provider to the site did not advise of a code change to the security section in our subscribe panel, creating a range of frustrated subscribers not able to get on board.
We apologise to all those potential subscribers who were unable to register with us in the second half of 2011, but if you try once more you should have no problem.

“Discussions with local aged care services in our divisional area regarding their integration with the HRX have been very positive and this recent study further highlights the advantages for residents and staff,” spokesman Dr Kidd said.

GPpartners has also released an audit toolkit to promote more effective clinical handovers for aged care residents who transfer into hospital.

The Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) Hospital Clinical Handover Project is managed through the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing and is funded by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care.

Support for this project was received from 20 of the 22 organisations managing the 70 RACFs in the Brisbane North district.

GPpartners said it believes the report will bring improved understanding, increased knowledge and confidence to change processes toward safer handover for residents transferring to and from acute facilities.
